Huntingdon

Borough and seat of Huntingdon County, in south-central Pennsylvania, 32 km/20 mi west of Altoona; population (1990) 6,800. This manufacturing region was founded in around 1755; its modern products include machinery, pipes, and radiators. It is the site of Juniata College (founded 1876), and Raystown Lake and the Lincoln Caverns are situated nearby.
