Huntington Park

City in Los Angeles County, southwestern California; population (1990) 56,100. Huntington Park lies 8 km/5 mi southeast of Los Angeles city centre, and just east of South-Central.

Founded in 1856, Huntington Park was formerly a centre for the production of cars, steel, aircraft parts, oil-well equipment, and hardware, but is now a largely residential and commercial community, whose population is 90% Hispanic.
