Hurst

City in Tarrant County, northeastern Texas; population (1990) 33,600. Hurst is located on the northeastern edge of Fort Worth, 16 km/10 mi from the city centre, and just beyond the beltway (Route 820). Incorporated in 1952, it is a residential and industrial suburb; a Bell helicopter plant is among its manufacturing facilities.
