Huşi

Town in Vaslui county, eastern Romania, near the border with Moldova formed by the River Prut, 65 km/41 mi south of Iaşi; population (1995) 26,800. Wine is produced in the area.

In 17ll the Treaty of Prut was signed at Huşi following Russia's invasion and defeat by the Turks.
