Hutton, Laurence (1843-1904)

US bibliophile, editor, and writer. Left with a modest legacy, he devoted himself to amassing a fine rare book collection and writing on travel, the theatre, and other congenial topics. He was literary editor of McClure's Magazine 1886-93 and a lecturer at Princeton University 1901-04.

He was born in New York City.
