Huy

Town in the province of Liège, Belgium, on the River Meuse, about 27 km/17 mi southwest of the city of Liège; population (1991) 18,200. The town has distilleries and manufactures paper.

Huy has a 19th-century citadel; nearby are the ruins of the abbey of Neufmoustier, the burial place of its founder, Peter the Hermit (1115).
