Hyattsville

City in Prince George's County, south-central Maryland; population (1990) 13,900. Hyattsville stands at the head of the Anacostia River, 10 km/6 mi northeast of Washington DC. It is a largely residential suburb, a banking and commercial centre, and home to some light industry.
