| Since these materials are produced by microorganisms as an emergency food source, they are, by design, easily biodegradable by direct enzymatic action of microorganisms, and don't necessarily require the chemical hydrolysis reaction step first. 7 nm, which were synthesized via hydrolysis reaction of complex alkoxide, was successfully coated with PMMA by polymerization of MMA initiated by AIBN with the aid of coupling reagent MPTMS. Therefore, PHA depolymerases show relatively narrow substrate specificity for the hydrolysis reaction of PHAs. |
