Oct 29, 2009 IATA IATA chief executive Giovanni Bisignani is urging industry and governments to "sell our position" ahead of December's key Copenhagen climate conference after ICAO agreed its position to tackle aviation emissions.
As the global recession continues to take its toll on the aviation industry, we also face challenges on many of the industry's fundamental priorities--including safety and environment," said Iata director general and CEO, Giovanni Bisignani in remarks to a gathering of ICAO state representatives and Raymond Benjamin, ICAO's secretary general.
Non-machine readable passports will be invalid for travel since 2010 as per ICAO requirements.
