Energy futures and options exchange, established in 1980 and based in London. It was formerly known as the International Petroleum Exchange until its acquisition from 2001 by IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) Inc.

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and its UK counterpart have reached a deal with ICE Futures Europe to impose regulations on WTI contracts which trade on the London electronic exchange within 120 days.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission said it will require the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange to adopt position limits used in the U.
Among the new measure is an agreement with the United Kingdom Financial Services Authority (FSA) and ICE Futures Europe for expanded information-sharing for surveillance of energy commodity contracts with U.
