IPv6

Version of Internet protocol, the accepted standard for transmitting data from one computer to another over the Internet, destined to replace the current protocol, known as IPv4. IPv6 is effectively an upgrade to the existing version rather than a radical change, and will coexist with IPv4 for some time.

At its commercial launch in March 2005, OnDemand TV became the world's first on-demand service delivered over IP v6 fiber optic networks, taking full advantage of the SeaChange IPTV System's capabilities for delivering multiple media formats and bit rates.
The OnDemand TV service will be one of the first commercial launches of VOD over IP v6 networks.
