IPv6

Version of Internet protocol, the accepted standard for transmitting data from one computer to another over the Internet, destined to replace the current protocol, known as IPv4. IPv6 is effectively an upgrade to the existing version rather than a radical change, and will coexist with IPv4 for some time.
