Idun

In Norse mythology, keeper of the apples that renew the youth of the gods, and wife of Bragi.

She was abducted by the giant Thjazi with Loki's help; Loki then rescued her by borrowing Freya's falcon cloak and carrying Idun back in the form of a nut.

The acquisition of Idun Pharmaceutical in 2005 by Pfizer is a principal example of a further step in big pharma strategy to augment their internal research and development efforts with high-potential, externally sourced product candidates and technologies.
He was previously Senior Director of Cell and Molecular Biology at Idun Pharmaceuticals and Head of the Oncology Drug Discovery program prior to its acquisition by Pfizer.
