Ilford

Suburb of Greater London, England, in the borough of Redbridge, 11 km/7 mi northeast of the city centre. Ilford has factories producing photographic materials and scientific instruments.

The hospital of St Mary and St Thomas was originally founded in the 12th century as a hospital for the care of leprosy victims.
