Ilminster

Market town in Somerset, England, 20 km/12 mi southeast of Taunton; population (2001) 4,750. Among Ilminster's industries are the manufacture of shirts, collars, plastics, agricultural machinery, and quartz crystals.

Ilminster has a mainly 15th-century church, containing the tombs of Nicholas and Dorothy Wadham (died 1609 and 1618), the founders of Wadham College, Oxford.
