Ince, Thomas Harper (1882-1924)

US film director and producer. He brought realism into the silent Western genre, notably in a series of films featuring William S Hart (1865-1946). In 1915 he joined Mack Sennett and D W Griffith to form the Triangle Film Corporation, subsequently functioning mainly as a producer. His most ambitious film as producer was Civilization (1916).
