The ‘Liberty Bell’ is housed in Independence Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Assembly commissioned the bell in 1751 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of William Penn's 1701 Charter of Privileges. Penn's charter formed Pennsylvania's original constitution.

Building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, where, on 4 July 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted by Congress and read to the people. The Continental Congress met there. It is now a historical museum.
