Leading industrial bands have included Throbbing Gristle (formed in 1976 in the UK), Einstürzende Neubauten (formed in 1980 in Germany), and Non (formed early 1980s in the USA). The music is distributed chiefly on independent (indie) labels and through alternative networks. |
