Ingegneri, Marc Antonio (c. 1545–1592)| Italian composer. He learnt music from Vincenzo Ruffo at Verona Cathedral and, around 1570 became maestro di cappella at Cremona Cathedral. Monteverdi was his pupil there. |
Works two books of Masses, three books of motets, one of hymns and eight of madrigals; also 27 responsories for Holy Week (long attributed to Palestrina). |
