Innerleithen

Mill town and former burgh of Scottish Borders unitary authority, Scotland, situated on the confluence of Leithen Water and the River Tweed, 18 km/11 mi northwest of Galashiels; population (2001) 2,600. It possesses a long-established woollen industry, one of the foremost in Scotland. A local spring containing sodium and calcium chlorides is reputed to have medicinal qualities.

Traquair House, ancestral seat of the Maxwell-Stuarts and one of the oldest inhabited mansions in Scotland, lies to the south.
