insured

Individual or organization that receives the benefit of an insurance policy in return for the payment of a premium. The insured has certain obligations under the insurance contract. These include subscribing to the doctrine of uberrima fides (utmost good faith), making a full declaration of all material facts on the insurance proposal and minimizing any losses that may occur.
