Internet Architecture Board

In computing, committee that coordinates the development of Internet standards. Set up 1983, the IAB is a technical advisory group of the Internet Society. Its responsibilities include architectural oversight for the protocols and procedures used by the Internet, standards process oversight and appeal, editorial management and publication of RFC (request for comments) documents, and advising the Internet Society concerning technical, architectural, procedural, and some policy matters.
