Internet Engineering Task Force

In computing, international group which supervises the development of RFC (requests for comments), protocols, and other engineering design for the Internet, reporting to the Internet Architecture Board. It was formed in 1986 and is based in Reston, Virginia, USA.

IPv6 was designed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to replace the current Internet Protocol, Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4).
DENVER -- The Jabber Software Foundation (JSF) will soon hold an interoperability testing event related to the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP), a standard for presence and near-real-time messaging approved by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in 2004.
In addition to his work with ANSI, he has developed standards in multiple other organizations including the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), Small Form Factor (SFF) Committee and Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).
