FangWest African people living in the rainforests of Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and northwestern Gabon, numbering about 2.5 million. The Fang language belongs to the Bantu branch of the Niger-Congo family. In the colonial period the Fang were involved in trading, and used coins made of copper and iron.
