Iolanta

Opera in one act by Pyotr Tchaikovsky (libretto by Modest Tchaikovsky, Tchaikovsky's brother, based on Henrik Hertz's play King René's Daughter), first produced in St Petersburg, Russia, on 18 December 1892. It tells how the blind Iolanta's sight is restored in response to amorous interest from Vaudemont.
