Iriga

City in Camarines Sur province on southeast Luzon Island in the Philippines; population (1995) 82,500. Iriga lies in a rich agricultural region, the chief products of which include rice, Indian corn, and abaca (hemp).

To the northeast is an extinct volcano, Mount Iriga, which is home to several Negrito peoples. Close to the city is Lake Buhi, where the world's smallest edible fish, the sinarapan, is found.
