Irvine, Eddie (1965– )

Northern Irish motor racing driver. He made his Formula 1 debut for Jordan in 1993, but switched to the Ferrari team in 1996, and then to Jaguar in 2000. He narrowly missed out on the 1999 Formula 1 World Drivers' title, finishing just two points behind Finland's Mika Hakkinen. However, his performance, including four Grand Prix victories, helped Ferrari to win the Constructors' title for the first time since 1983.
