Isaacs, Susan (1943– )

US novelist and screenwriter. The plots of her popular mysteries and adventure stories put women (usually suburban housewives) in the leading roles. Her novels Compromising Positions (1978) and Shining Through (1988) were bestsellers and were made into films for which she wrote the screenplays.

Her other novels include Close Relations (1980), Almost Paradise (1984), Magic Hour (1991), After All These Years (1993), Lily White (1996), Red, White and Blue (1998), Long Time No See (2001), and Any Place I Hang My Hat (2004). She wrote the screenplay for the comedy Hello Again (1987).
