Isabeau

Leggenda drammatica by Pietro Mascagni (libretto by L Illica), first produced in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 2 June 1911, conducted by Mascagni. It tells how the disobedient Isabeau is condemned by her father, King Raimondo, to ride naked before the populace. The townspeople pity her and do not watch. The only exception, Folco (with whom Isabeau falls in love) is killed.
