Isenbrant, Adriaen

    0.02 sec.

Isenbrant, Adriaen (died 1551)

Flemish painter, active in Bruges. Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows (church of Notre Dame, Bruges) is a work attributed to him in which Renaissance detail conjoins with Netherlandish style.

His place and date of birth are unknown but he was enrolled as a master in the Painters' Guild of Bruges 1510 and was probably a pupil of Gerard David.
