Izzo d'Amico, Fiamma (1964– )

Italian soprano. She studied at the Rome Conservatory and made her debut at Treviso in 1984, as Mimi in La Bohème; in 1985 she performed at Bologna as Violetta in La traviata. She was discovered by Karajan and sang Élisabeth de Valois (from Don Carlos) at the 1986 Salzburg Festival (she returned as Micaela). She made her US debut with Pavarotti at Philadelphia in 1986, as Mimi. She has also appeared at the New York Metropolitan Opera House and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London and in the Verdi Requiem at Salzburg.
