Jackson, Dugald

Jackson, Dugald (Caleb) (1865–1951)

US electrical engineer and educator. In 1887 he began building electrical power plants and street railway systems. As an innovative educator (University of Wisconsin 1891–1907, Massachusetts Institute of Technology 1907–35), he introduced problem-solving as preparation for the needs of industry.

He was born in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
