Jackson, Maynard

Jackson, Maynard (Holbrook) (1938–2003)

US mayor and lawyer. He was an attorney and director of community relations for the Emory Neighborhood Law Office in Atlanta 1968–69 and a senior partner at Jackson, Patterson & Parks 1970–73. He served as mayor of Atlanta, Georgia 1974–82 and again from 1990.

He was born in Dallas, Texas. A 1956 graduate of Morehouse College, he received his JD from North Carolina Central State School of Law.
