Jacobs, Marc (1963– )| US fashion designer. He is known for innovative fashions infused with popular culture. He worked for US designer Perry Ellis 1989–93, where his controversial unstructured designs both inspired and were inspired by the Seattle grunge scene of the early 1990s. He became the artistic director of Louis Vuitton in 1997, incorporating a more trendy and irreverent style into the traditional high-end French luxury goods label. |
