Jacobsen, Alfred (1890-1967)

Danish-born US oil executive. He was variously president, chief executive, and chairman of Amerada Petroleum between 1926 and 1965, and helped to make Amerada one of the leading oil search companies. He was born near Copenhagen. He spent 20 years gaining oil company experience in Mexico.
