Jadin, Louis Emmanuel (1768–1853)

French composer, son of the violinist and composer Jean Jadin. He worked as accompanist at the Théâtre de Monsieur in Paris from 1789 and became piano professor at the Paris Conservatory in 1802.

Works

opera Joconde (1790) and c. 40 others; vocal and instrumental works for the Revolution festivals; La Bataille d'Austerlitz for orchestra; chamber music; works for one and two pianos.
