| Based on the chassis of the PzKwIV tank, it had a long 75 mm gun in a fixed superstructure of 80 mm/3 in armour, weighed 24 tons, and had a top speed of 39 kph/24 mph. Low and easily concealed, it was a formidable weapon and some 1,300 were made from 1943 to the end of the war. |
