Jajce

Town in Bosnia-Herzegovina, at the confluence of the rivers Pliva and Vrbas; population (2005 est) 10,600. There are leather and textile industries and hydroelectric installations nearby. In the 15th century it was the capital of the kingdom of Bosnia, and here the last king was put to death by the Turks in 1463.

He came to Jajce to confer with local Croat officials and visit one of two graves on the city's outskirts.
On 30 October, the Council, "appalled" by reports that the Serb militia in Bosnia and Herzegovina was attacking civilians fleeing from the city of Jajce, strongly condemned such attacks as grave violations of international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions, and demanded that those attacks cease immediately.
