US conductor, organist, teacher, and composer. He studied in New York and became a professor at Columbia and New York Universities.

Missa imaginum, Stabat Mater and other choral works; three symphonies, including Sea Symphony for baritone and orchestra (1928), overtures on French Noëls and Bret Harte, Welsh rhapsody Gwallia, Station WGZBX, for orchestra (1932); suite for string orchestra; piano quartet, woodwind quintet, string quartet (1924).
