Janeway, Theodore Caldwell (1872-1917)

US physician who is credited with pioneering the clinical use of a patient's blood pressure in The Clinical Study of Blood Pressure 1904, and with introducing sphygmomanometers (instruments for measuring blood pressure).

Born in New York City, the son of Edward Gamaliel Janeway, he followed his father's footsteps, eschewing study abroad for work in his father's office.
