Japanese spaniel

Ancient breed of toy dog introduced into Japan from China. Daintily built, it stands about 30 cm/12 in tall, and, like the pekingese, has a rounded head, drooping ears, and tail curved over its back. Its long, soft coat is always white, with either black or red markings.
