Jekyll and Hyde

Two conflicting sides of a personality, as in the novel by the Scottish writer R L Stevenson, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1886), where the good Jekyll, by means of a potion, periodically transforms himself into the evil Hyde.

Jekyll and Hyde is the story of doctor Jekyll who drinks a potion, which creates a younger and crueler version of him, named Hyde.
Funke would refer to him as a Jekyll and Hyde because of his sudden outbursts.
It's a hi-tech, 21st century version of the Jekyll and Hyde story.
