Jellacic, Josef, Baron Jellacic (1801–1859)
| Croatian general and administrator. An ardent nationalist, he was appointed Ban of Croatia in 1848 and led his troops against the Hungarians at a critical point during the revolution. He proved an incompetent commander in the field. Jellacic was born in Peterwardein, Croatia. |
