Jemez Pueblo

Settlement in Sandoval County, north-central New Mexico, 60 km/37 mi north of Albuquerque; population (1990) 1,800. The pueblo lies in the foothills of the Jemez Mountains, on the Jemez River and the Rio Grande. It is known for its pottery, weaving, and basketmaking.
