Jenkinson, Anthony (died 1611)

English merchant and sea captain. He visited Asia Minor and North Africa in 1546, and in 1557 was appointed agent of the Muscovy Company. He travelled to Bokhara (1558-59), and was commissioned to trade with Persia. By his efforts his company obtained the monopoly of the White Sea trade.
