Jentink's duiker

Small, shy antelope that plunges into bushes when startled. It is acutely threatened by deforestation in its remaining habitat in West Africa, where it is also hunted. One captive breeding colony exists in Texas, USA, and there are hopes of establishing others as the immediate future for this species in the wild appears to be bleak. (Species Cephalophus jentinki, family Bovidae.)
