Jervis Bay

Deep bay on the coast of New South Wales, Australia, 145 km/90 mi southwest of Sydney. The federal government in 1915 acquired 73 sq km/28 sq mi here to create a port for Canberra. It forms part of the Australian Capital Territory and is the site of the Royal Australian Naval College.
