Clark, Jim (1936-1968)

Scottish-born motor-racing driver who was twice world champion, in 1963 and 1965. He spent all his Formula 1 career with Lotus. He won 25 Formula 1 Grand Prix races, a record at the time, before losing his life at Hockenheim, West Germany, during a Formula 2 race in 1968.

His partnership with Lotus boss Colin Chapman (1928-1982) was one of the closest in the sport.
