Jivaro

An American Indian people of the tropical forests of southeastern Ecuador and northeastern Peru. They live by farming, hunting, fishing, and weaving; the Jivaro language belongs to the Andean-Equatorial family. They were formerly notorious for preserving the hair and shrunken skin of the heads of their enemies as battle trophies.
