Johansson, Eva (1958- )

Danish soprano. She studied at Juilliard and Copenhagen, and sang at the Royal Opera there as Mozart's Countess, Tatiana and Pamina (1982-88). She appeared as Berg's Marie at the Paris Opéra in 1986, and as Gutrune and Freia in the Ring at Berlin and Bayreuth in 1988 (she returned as Elsa in 1990). In 1989 she sang at the Vienna Staatsoper as Fiordiligi, and made her debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London in 1992, as Donna Anna.
